Verse 11: “where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.”

In my grandmother’s house used to hang a picture of me, my brother, and my sister when we were little. It was one of those Olan Mills type-shots. Though we were mostly facing the camera, I was looking to the right, my brother was looking to the left, and my sister was looking at the camera with the expression of “how’d I get stuck with these two?” Despite the fact we looked very different, you could easily see our dominant trait: the brown eyes that we inherited from our father.

In Genesis 1:26, God states, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness”. Though humanity looks vastly different across a wide array of races and cultures, we were made in the likeness of God. How wonderful is it then, that Paul is telling the Colossians that in Jesus, there are no divisions, no separateness…just “Christ is all and in all”.

Fellow Christian, would someone be able to look at a picture of your life today, and know you by your Father?

Something to think about.
