Proverbs 21:1-2

verse 1: “The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turn it wherever He wishes.”

This year’s Carpenters mission was extra-special to me. We went back to a town where we first built a sanctuary addition back in 2004. It was also the site of my first Carpenters mission. I grew a lot closer to my father and to my brother on that mission. We went back this year, because the church lost its building to a tornado; we were able, through God’s power, to build another sanctuary, fellowship hall, and extra classroom space for this church. I also got to see my father, not only speak in front of a church body, but to voluntarily give a devotion during mealtime. I never thought I’d ever see my father do that!

God has been changing the heart of my father over these past years. No matter our position in life, God sits on the throne, and it is He who reigns. Have you ever directed the flow of water with your hand, whether it be coming out of a shower or the end of a hose pipe? God does that with our very hearts. I got to see that during this mission, and it is wonderful to behold.

Have a great day in Him!
